Academy Awards 2015 – Die Show

In der Nacht vom 22. auf den 23. Februar wurden in Los Angeles zum 87. Mal die Oscars verliehen, der wichtigste Filmpreis der Branche. Wie immer im „Dolby Theater“ (vormals „Kodak Theater“) treffen sich Stars und Sternchen zur Verleihung des Preises.
Die Moderation sollte, nach der erneut vortrefflichen Darbietung von Ellen DeGeneres im letzten Jahr, dieses Jahr Neil Patrick Harris übernehmen, den meisten besser bekannt als Barney Stinson in „How I met your Mother“ oder als Arzt gewordenes Kind „Doogie Howser, M.D.“.
Da Harris zuvor bereits Emmy- und Tony-Award vergeben hat, durfte man annehmen das seine Showman-Qualitäten über jeden Zweifel erhaben sind. Doch so ganz stimmte das nicht.

Wie jedes Jahr begann die Show wieder um 2:30 Uhr Deutscher Zeit. Nachdem zuvor um 1 Uhr erneut der kompetente Steven Gätjen für 30 Minuten Fragen stellen durfte, u.a. an Michael Keaton und Robert Duvall, stiegen die „Kollegen von der ABC“ um 1:30 Uhr ein. Doch hier gab es, überraschender weise, nicht wie jedes Jahr ein Schaulaufen wer denn nun wen trägt, sondern auch hier wurden teilweise ganz interessante Interviews geführt. Viel belangloses, aber immerhin keine Modeshow mehr.

Als die Show dann begann, war wohl keiner überrascht, dass Harris direkt mit einer Musical-Gesangsnummer startet. Wobei, nicht ganz, ein kleiner aber feiner Witz kam davor noch: “We celebrate the best and the whitest … sorry brightest,”

Mitz Tanz und Gesang über das Wunder des Films und die Glückseligkeit der Filmbranche ging es dann weiter und so bekam er den Saal auf seine Seite. Am TV hat es vermutlich nicht so sehr gezündet...
